A few years ago, a small team of three had a vision to build the first video platform for virtual reality headsets. I was recently brought on to help establish a design language that would make posting, sharing, and viewing VR videos intuitive for people new to VR. We started by establishing some stylings and proceeded by implementing those styles across various screens throughout the users journey.
It was important to cover every edge case when designing a product from the ground up.
We wanted to keep the player familiar while adding in some exciting features for a new audience.
Needing a way to add some personality to their site, Vrideo wanted to create a mascot that could bring life throughout their various marketing efforts.
